Sample and Results

With a small urine sample and our intuitively designed strips, you’ll unlock insights within just 20 minutes, paving the way for prompt decisions about your health. Faster than boiling the kettle for the afternoon cup of tea.

25-hydroxy Vitamin D is the main storage form of vitamin D in the human body. The current status of vitamin D levels can be determined by detecting the content of 25-hydroxy Vitamin D.

25-hydroxy Vitamin D level less than 30ng/mL indicates Vitamin D Deficiency or Insufficiency.

The test provides results based on Normal, Insufficient or Deficient. Both Deficient and Insufficient results can then be used to request a secondary test or consult further medical advice.

Symptoms you might be suffering from

Monitoring your vitamin D levels to determine whether to take supplements can be an important part of regular health reviews and early diagnosis of medical issues. Vitamin D deficiency is associated with many diseases including:

  • Cancer
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Diabetes

This test uses a blood test sample, but why?

The at-home collection kit is a 25-hydroxy vitamin D (calcifediol) blood test that is used to determine how much vitamin D is in your body.[1] The blood concentration of calcifediol is considered the best indicator of vitamin D status.[2]

How does this test work?

This test can be used to diagnose vitamin D deficiencies, as well as indicating a higher risk for a vitamin D deficiency. These results can be used as supporting evidence for the beginning of aggressive therapies in such patients.[3]
Patients with osteoporosis, chronic kidney disease, malabsorption, obesity, and a few other infections may be at high risk and have a greater indication from this test.[3] Our lateral flow technology device from Test Your Intolerance provides results based on three categories ‘Deficient, Insufficient or Excess’. Both Deficient and Insufficient results can then be used to consult further medical advice.
